Our Sales Managers are responsible for cultivating new clients and retaining existing ones. The Sales Team is responsible for determining program scope, preparing proposals that meet client’s needs and budgets, client site inspections and contracting prior to the program or event transitioning to our exceptional Operations Team/Program Mangers. In addition, Sales Managers will be required to meet annual sales objectives, cultivate hotel and industry relationships, develop new business, submit accurate sales / commission reports as directed.
Advantage DMS’s full time Sales Manager’s preferably will have:
- College Degree in Hospitality Management (preferred), Business or Marketing
- 2–5 years of DMC experience in Sales or Operations roles
- A self-starter personality that is outgoing, professional and not afraid to seek new business opportunities.
- PC skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ACT! Database (or similar)
- Proven sales record
- Ability to multi-task
- Bi-lingual (English with Spanish or Portuguese) a plus, but not mandatory
- DMCP or CMP certification a plus, but not mandatory
Program Managers are responsible for managing the execution of all activities related to our Client’s program once a contract has been signed through processing the Client’s final closing invoice.
Specific pre-program/event responsibilities include: staffing and transportation coordination; entertainment and vendor management, including deposits and final payments; manage any additional services or program changes contracted with Client; create the Scope of Services, aka Program Overview, for Client and Hotel CSM; coordinate the load-in and load-out production schedule with Production & Design team and venue; manage and reconcile petty cash and Hospitality Staff info packets in advance of program
During the program/event, Program Managers will attend client/hotel pre-con meetings or meet with client separately prior to actual guest arrivals to review all details and logistics of the program; supervise Staff and Transportation contracted throughout the program; advance any restaurants / venues / tours / excursions / teambuilding activities, etc.; Provide on-site management of staff, vendors and entertainment; oversee all guest activities and services contracted through Advantage DMS; work with the Sales Manager on any Client changes or issues that may significantly impact the program.
Post-program activities include: Analyzing and reconciling the client’s Closing Invoice; processing Hospitality staff paperwork; reconciling program P&L Job Ledgers provided by Accounting to meet profitability objectives.
Ideal candidates for Program Managers will have confident, make-it-happen attitudes, be very detail-oriented while also being masters of the multi-task. They have a single-minded focus on delivering excellence in program implementation and client satisfaction. Program Managers are expected to available to the client 24/7 during their program, this may include weekends and holidays, depending on program dates.
PRODUCTION & DESIGN
Our Production & Design department is involved in prepping and setting all on-site décor/design elements for our Client’s Programs. Ideal candidates for both Floral Design and Production Crew are creative, solution-oriented, flexible, able to work in fast-paced environment, are positive and understand importance of working as team.
Floral Assistants require a strong eye for design and knowledge of creative trends will help with the prep and creation of floral arrangements.
Event Production Crew Members work on event preparation in warehouse, staging inventory, delivery, on-site set installation at event. the post-event strike and post-event inventory restocking.
Experience with back-of-house banquet set and loading dock protocol preferred. When on-site, our Production Crew serve as representatives of Advantage DMS with hotels and venues, partner vendors, clients and our co-workers.
Positions within Production & Design department are Independent Contractors. Hours vary; may require working nights/weekends/holidays and be seasonal (high season is Jan–May, Sept–Nov)

HOSPITALITY & TRAVEL STAFF
Hospitality & Travel Staff are KEY members in the success of our Client’s programs. Our objective when hiring Hospitality Staff is to select individuals who bring their personality, energy and expertise in all areas of Hospitality Management including: tours and activities, transportation management, logistics and special events.
Within this role, Staff will be expected to provide a superior level of personalized service and attention to detail. Specific tasks include airport arrivals & departures, ground transportation and dispatch, hotel logistics, supervision of groups participating in activities and on tours.
Our Hospitality Staff is a seasonal, independent position with potential for growth within the company based on performance and opportunity.
Multi-lingual language skills are a PLUS.
